[edit] Purpose
This page should be used to collect the various limitations and known bugs of the current annotation system in MusicBrainz, as well as ideas about how to enhance it and make it evolves toward a better model.
This page has some direct relations with AnnotationHistory (tickets usually begin life here, and finish there).

[edit] Easy enhancements
List of suggested enhancements, supposedly easy to fix:
- 2581: Enhancement: Similar release screen does not show release date(s), disc id details and release annotation
- 1980: Enhancement: WikiPage names autosuggest for edit notes+annotations (js patch is already attached)
- 1853: Enhancement: annotation position on add release edit
- 1564: Enhancement: Annotations could be collapsed / expanded entirely client side using non intrusive javascript (javascript joined)
- 1424: Enhancement: show artist annotation when merging

- 2594: Enhancement: Track annotation do not appear on release page
