What is a category?

A category is a reverse index to related Wiki pages. Authors add references to appropriate categories in their pages and they are automatically listed in the category page by searching for BackLinks to the category.

How it works

Authors simply put the name of one or more categories at the bottom of the page. For instance, this page describes a Wiki technique for creating category indexes automatically, so at the bottom of this page, following a line with ---- is the word CategoryWiki.

When opening the CategoryWiki page, a macro is executed which starts a search for all pages linking to CategoryWiki and generates a list from the results; that way you can see all pages belonging to the CategoryWiki on the category page.
