ModBot

ModBot is a bot used by the MusicBrainz Server to perform a variety of automated functions.

Here are some of ModBot's duties as a MusicBrainz bot:

  • Add notes to edits that couldn't be applied
  • Add notes to edits that are submitted together
  • Fill in track times when a disc ID is added to a release and track times have not yet been specified
  • Remove artists that are considered empty, i.e. artists that have no releases, tracks, or relationships
  • Remove works that are considered empty, i.e. have no relationships
