Description

This indicates that a work that was intented to be played by certain instrument was re-written (transcribed) to be performed by another instrument.

Attributes

  • start date
There is no guideline yet for how the begin date fields might be used.
  • end date
There is no guideline yet for how the end date fields might be used.
  • instrument
This special version of this relationship type indicates for what kind of instrument the work was transcribed to.

Guidelines

This relationship should only be used when the score of a composition has be re-written to be played by another instrument then it was intended by the original composer. This relationship covers also reductions. The person who did the transcription should be credited via the "instrumentation" relationship. For minor modifications in a work or improvised variations by an artist please use the "arranged" relationship on recording level.
