This relationship type belongs to the Personal Association Relationship Class.
Description
This links two siblings.
Link Phrases
Attributes
“start date”
- This indicates the date that the sibling relationship began.
- For two full siblings, ¾ siblings, or half-siblings, this is the date that the younger sibling was born.
- For adoptive siblings, this is the date that the younger sibling was adopted.
- For step-siblings, this is either the date that the younger sibling was born or the date that the siblings' parents married, whichever is later.
“end date”
- This should be left blank.
“step”
- This indicates that the two siblings are step-siblings; i.e. they are related due to the marriage of one of each siblings' parents to each other.
“half”
- This indicates that the two siblings are either ¾ or half-siblings; i.e. they share only one birth or adoptive parent in common.
Guidelines
- This relationship type is only applicable to person artists. Neither artist involved in this relationship type may be a group artist.
- This relationship type should be used to link the artists' legal names. An artist's performance name should not be linked using this relationship type.
