Long forward

[Recording] contains a {live} {medley:medley including a} {partial} {instrumental} {cover:cover|version} of [Work]

Short forward

{live} {medley:medley including a} {partial} {instrumental} {cover:cover|version} of [Work]

reverse

{cover:covered|recorded} {live} in {medley:medleys} {partial:(partial)} {instrumental:(instrumental)}

Notes

For the forward phrase I wanted to separate medley (which is about a set of works) from partial (which is specific to the performance/recording), and instrumental and cover (which are, or can be, specific to one work). Previously, "performance of" was changed to "recording of" because we can have multiple recordings of one performance and because performance is a slightly dubious term for the relationship in some cases. The same can be said for medleys. I think this can be dropped from the forward version of the phrase. I'm not sure there is the perfect link phrase because the relationship will be used in circumstances where (a) 1 recording includes versions of many works, (b) a medley is split across multiple recordings, (c) a recording includes things that aren't related to a work, as well as works.
