In [[MusicBrainz Terminology|MusicBrainzTerminology]], an album is an entry in the album table of the database. For CD's, an album represents 1 CD. For vinyl and cassettes, an album represents both sides of a record or cassette.

An album has an [[Album Title|AlbumTitle]] and consists of one or more [[Track]]s. Each album has one [[Album Artist|AlbumArtist]] who is the [[Primary Artist|PrimaryArtist]] associated with that album. Other artists can be associated with an album using [[Advanced Relationships|AdvancedRelationships]].
