Guidelines

This relationship should be used where a work recording has been split into multiple tracks for convenience on a release. In particular this should be used with classical performances of a work where the movements have been split in multiple tracks. Performance Relationship Type.

As much as possible the hierarchy should mirror the corresponding works. One big difference however is that works which have been split into tracks should be kept separate as they are recorded. If the works has more than one level of works; for example with Opera, should also be preserved in the recording hierarchical tree.
