Talk:Discography Relationship Class

"Discography" isn't a good name for the above types of URL. Maybe this should just be called the "URL" class?

Many sites fit into more than one category. A fan site will usually have a biography and a discography. Do we make all three links?

I personally think that Biography and Discography would want to refer to the "best" (set of) links, for some artists, this would probably end up being the official discography, and official biography, and nothing else; for others, it might go, official discography, discogs page, fan discography, ..., in order to get a complete listing of all known releases. --MartinRudat

There should be style guidelines for precisely which URL to link to. Do you link to the flash intro screen, or where the content lives?

Personally, I'd link to the flash intro screen. If only from the point of view that you miss out on part of the experience of visiting the band's page if you don't. --MartinRudat

Should you provide just a domain name (http://nin.com/ or http://nin.com/index.html)?

There's not much point in linking to ".../index.html" if ".../" results in the same page. --MartinRudat

What about reviews of songs, rather than albums?

ReviewRelationshipType would probably want to allow both Album -- URL and Track -- URL relations, I'd imagine. --MartinRudat
