Box set

Box set Release Groups are usually large compilations of recordings or releases. Although originally named after their packaging we include digital-only Release Groups. Typically, a box set is a compilation with at least 3 mediums, or containing at least 3 hours of recordings, or the content of three or more existing Release Groups, or otherwise identifies itself as a box set. If a Release appears to be a box set but belongs in an existing Release Group of another type (e.g. album), use that Release Group.

Examples

Trojan Dub Box Set, The Complete Masters 1933–1959 by Billie Holiday and N. R. Drake, 69. (Tuck Box) are all box set release groups.

However, Tubular Bells (Digital Box Set / Digital Deluxe Edition) is a release in the album Release Group Tubular Bells and The Layla Sessions is a release in the album Release Group Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.
