1. A medium and even a content may have an artist different to release and to a medium. Examples of a mediums with different artists: [[1]] So the support for artist should be added to Medium and to Content.

2. A medium in the release may have a packaging different to the release packaging. E.g., a LP or CD box (packaging=other, as the box packaging is so far not present in MB) has the mediums in jewel case, or cardboard/paper sleeve, or without a packaging (in the releases such as digipak, digibook, etc.). And even the mediums included to the same release may have a different packaging, e.g. jewel case and double jewel case (so far not present in MB). So the support for packaging should be added to Medium.

3. A medium in the release may have a date and a barcode different to the release date and barcode. E.g., these two releases [[2]] (1995, barcode 090431563229) and [[3]] (1994, barcode 790431547228) exist: 1) as separate releases, and also 2) as mediums of the bundled release "The Five Keys: 2 CD Box Set" [[4]] (so far not present in MB just in consequence of insufficient support for the mediums) issued in 2000-11-28 with the barcode 090431007921. Another examples of medium barcodes different to the release barcode: [[5]] and [[6]]. So the support for date and for barcode should be added to Medium.

4. A medium has its own Cover Art: front, back, spine, medium and possibly booklet with M pages. Actually all cover art of a release (box front, box back, box side, booklet with B pages) should be stored together with cover art of all N included mediums in an enormous heap, unable to be sorted. So the support for cover art should be added to Medium.

5. A medium may have an annotation, a disambiguation and even a status, a language, a script, a country, a label different to the release. For sum up: a medium should have a full support which exists now for a release.

6. Medium: [...] Forced sides on predefined formats (vinyl, cassette, DualDisc, DVDplus, VinylDisc) A vinyl medium (e.g., a single 7-inch) has sometimes a sole side, so the forced sides should not be applied for it.--RocknRollArchivist 16:15, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
