AutoModerators and AutoModerations
AutoMod is an ambiguous term and can mean either AutoModerator or AutoModeration.
- An AutoModeration is a BadTerminology for an AutoEdit: an Edit that does not go to a vote and is applied immediately.
- An AutoModerator is a BadTerminology for an AutoEditor: an Editor who has been given the "automod" privilege (by the AutoEditorElection process). This privilege enables them to enter a greater range of edit types that are auto-approved, i.e. applied immediately, without going to a vote.
In most cases, AutoMod was used in the latter sense but should not be used anymore.
