Status: This is work in progress! The distinction between the different AdvancedRelationshipAttributes is not very concise, yet.
Examples
The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra performed together with Metallica in a series of concerts that were eventually released as the album S&M (disc 1). Metallica are clearly the primary artist, and clearly the orchestra is related to the album with the OrchestraRelationshipType. Currently though, the orchestra has the "additional" flag. Possibly this is just due to the script that was run which removed the "feat." artists.

I've found a good example of an 'additional' remixing: The Avalanches - A Different Feeling (Paperclip People remix) (Avalanches edit). Paperclip People remixed a song by The Avalanches, who themselves then edited it. Two remixing relationships are added: "... was remixed by Paperclip People" and "... was additionally remixed by The Avalanches". --thewilkybarkid
