The "end date" property of an [[Artist]] stores the date of when it stopped existing. The meaning of the date depends on the [[Artist Type|ArtistType]]: |

* For persons it means the date of death (even if the artist entry is a [[Performance Name|PerformanceName]]). |

* For groups it means the date when the group '''last''' dissolved. So if a group dissolved and then reunited, the date is that of when they last dissolved (if at all).
