Band With Main Performer Name
This is a special construct where a band has the name of the main performer - or the Performance Name of the main performing artist.
In most cases well known solo artists have some Supporting Musicians - then they are to be added with the Supporting Musician Relationship Type.
Sometimes they explicitly call themselves bands though or are recognized as bands by the fans. In this case it is common to create an artist for the band and an identically named artist for the main performer who is then to be linked to the band (with the Member Of Band Relationship Type). The releases go under the band artist normally (there are other cases though). If the name is a Performance Name of the main performer then also an artist for the Legal Name is created and linked to the Performance Name with the Performance Name Relationship Type.
Also note that Member Of Band Relationship Type says not to link Legal Names as members of bands.

- Doro being a band / solo project of singer Dorothee Pesch who performs as Doro Pesch or simply Doro.
- Marilyn Manson with their singer Brian Hugh Warner who also performs as Marilyn Manson
- Nena with their singer Gabriele Susanne Kerner who performs as Nena Kerner or simply Nena - her early works are with the band, later works are solo projects and go under her performance name!
