Featuring Artist

Description
A featuring artist is an Artist who is not the Primary Artist of a recording, but who is credited alongside the primary artist; usually with the word "featuring", or "feat.".
Additional information
Featuring artists have to follow the title style for featured artists, which you should read attentively. Prior to NGS, the style for featuring artists was to include them in the Track Title or Release Title. With the new support for Artist Credits, the guideline has been changed to move them out of titles and properly link artists to their entries in the database. You can read the old guideline here.
Usually, you want to use a featuring artist in one of these cases:
- the release sleeve clearly uses a "feat" to credit an artist, either in the Release Title, on a Track Title or alongside the Primary Artist
- two or more Artists are collaborating on a Release or a Recording, one of them clearly being the Primary Artist (note that this doesn't apply to Secondary Artists like sidemen, studio musicians, group members, etc)
Also note that the Classical Style Guide defines some specific use of "feat" to credit performers.
