Artists with French Names or Works with Titles in French

The following is a partial list of InternationalArtists whose names are French, or who have works with titles in French. If you can read and write French, please consider adding these artists to your ArtistSubscriptions so that you can be notified when there are additions or changes to their discographies, and you can check them for errors. If you know of other French artists not listed here, please add them.

Voici une liste incomplète d'artistes internationaux ayant un nom français, ou des morceaux intitulés en français. Si vous pouvez écrire et lire le français, considérez l'ajout de ces artistes à votre liste "ArtistSubscriptions", de manière à être informé des additions ou des modifications de leur discographie, pour que vous puissez les vérifier et corriger les erreurs éventuelles. Si vous connaissez d'autres artistes français non énumérés ici, s.v.p. ajoutez-les.

I've attempted to create a valid translation, I'm not that good in French though. But since I've got examination of French tomorrow, it seemed like a good excercise ;) --azertus

Added "Saïan Supa Crew". I've used a permalink, but all the others are artistid links - any preference? --ZeroGravitas

  • Permalinks are better, as they would work with MB mirrors as well. Sadly they are not really permanent, as they can be lost in an artist merge. @alex

I put more artists. I found a webpage with a list of mostly very well known French songs sorted by artist name (http://www.disco-liberty.ch/chansons française DVD.htm) There is still to put links --- Futal

I am french, so I can help maintaining this list (though my prefered music is classical and jazz, not french songs). I put the first name before the family name when it wasn't, I removed a few double lines, separated artists that had separate careers, and corrected a few misspellings (I know it is very difficult when it it is not your language). I found another list on wikipedia: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_de_chanteurs_fran%C3%A7ais but I didn't use it to add more artists to this list (probably more than 700 artists there!) -- davitof
