History:Frogs Tidying Marathon
Status: This Page is Glorious History!
The content of this page either is bit-rotted, or has lost its reason to exist due to some new features having been implemented in MusicBrainz, or maybe just described something that never made it in (or made it in a different way), or possibly is meant to store information and memories about our Glorious Past. We still keep this page to honor the brave editors who, during the prehistoric times (prehistoric for you, newcomer!), struggled hard to build a better present and dreamed of an even better future. We also keep it for archival purposes because possibly it still contains crazy thoughts and ideas that may be reused someday. If you're not into looking at either the past or the future, you should just disregard entirely this page content and look for an up to date documentation page elsewhere. |
A Frogs' Brigade Editing Party
Content |
What is this?
- Motivation for this event: in the mailing list
- Future: will be moved back into FrenchArtists whenever we think it's appropriate.
- Fame and glory: our tidying circus is now so famous that we're showing up on google search for some french artists!!! (http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF8&q=Rock+Failair)
- Original myth of Φειδιππιδης:
So, when all-french-releases-typos were dust, all cried, "To the irc chan! Run, Pheidippides, one edit more! the meed is thy due! MusicBrainz is saved, thank Pan, go shout!" He flung down his shield Ran like fire once more: and the space 'twixt the fennel-field And MB was stubble again, a field which a fire runs through, Till in he broke: "Rejoice, we fixed-em-all!" Like wine through clay, Joy in his blood bursting his brainz, he died - the bliss! - dmpΠάνda
Help WANTED
- We badly need help to smack down the list of discids to investigate. You don't need to speak french for most of them!
- some of them require intensive researchs in language X (say: german)
- some of them require specific knowledge of "genre" Y (say: classical)
- some of them are simple homebrews, but most of them are a bit more tricky
- some of them may be simply ok...
- We also need help hunting label/cat/EAN we still miss for some releases.
