Relationship Attribute "Instrument"

Description

This AdvancedRelationshipAttribute specifies which instrument an artist played. Note that an artist can play more than one instrument on the same track, which can be represented by adding one relationship for each instrument.

Possible Values

Status: Alert.png A restructure is being attempted at AttributeTypeTreeRestructure. Please request new instruments to be added there.

This attribute can be applied to the following AdvancedRelationshipTypes:

It's been proposed that it should be possible to specify an instrument when recording a person's membership of a band (MusicalAssociationRelationshipClass).

It has also been proposed that it should be possible to specify an instrument when recording a person's musical support of a solo artist SupportingMusicianRelationshipType.

Taxonomy

Could someone explain where this taxonomy came from? I'm sure there's been plenty of work done in the field of instrument taxonomy, so hopefully we're not duplicating this work ourselves. --MatthewExon
