Unfortunatly the German Wikipedia changed its template and currently only artists can be linked and only with the Row ID. Don't ask why, its simply stupid. You can help discussing about this at [http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage_Diskussion:Musicbrainz http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage_Diskussion:Musicbrainz]. So if you want to link to a [[MusicBrainz]] artist page in Wikipedia use the following code in the article:

Please don't link from the French Wikipedia to MusicBrainz - [http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Le_Bistro/10_mai_2007#Liens_externes_vers_MusicBrainz French Wikipedians are against it]. It's still perfectly OK (and encouraged!) to link ''from'' MusicBrainz to the French Wikipedia, just not the other way around.

Linking from MusicBrainz to Wikipedia

Since 2015, the preference is to link to Wikidata (not Wikipedia) which serves as a bridge for all languages. You can use the Wikidata relationship to add relationships between artists, labels and albums and their Wikidata URLs.
