PUIDs (Portable Unique IDentifier) are the IDs used in the proprietary MusicDNS AudioFingerprinting system which is operated by MusicIP.

MusicBrainz has started to use these IDs in March 2006. The PicardTagger will use them and become PicardWithAcousticFingerprinting.
