I came across your website through the BBC Music pages, and upon attempting to add a link to a song we have lyrics for I noticed that there is a whitelist of just 2 lyrics websites. I would like to humbly suggest that LyricStatus.com be added to your whitelist.

Dear sirs

My name is Ed Gain and I own a company called LyricStatus Ltd in the United Kingdom. We run LyricStatus.com, a beautifully designed lyrics website with a huge database of Gracenote-licensed lyrics which me and my team strive to ensure is accurate and up-to-date, with a particular focus on major hit songs in the UK.

I came across your website through the BBC Music pages, and upon attempting to add a link to a song we have lyrics for I noticed that there is a whitelist of just 2 lyrics websites. I would like to humbly suggest that LyricStatus.com be added to your whitelist.

LyricStatus has the unique feature of letting its users select and quote snippets of lyrics to their Facebook wall, or even to their friend's Facebook wall. Once posted to a wall, there's a subtle link back to the full lyrics page on LyricStatus so that other users can see which song it is and watch the video for it (if applicable) on YouTube.

LyricStatus also has corrected lyrics, and in some cases lyrics where other websites simply don't have them. We have lyrics from Gracenote but we validate and correct these ourselves where necessary, and we also accept user submissions as well as our own adding lyrics from latest releases ourselves internally. Here are some examples;

The following lyrics on our site are correct, compared to our competitors:
http://www.lyricstatus.com/kanye-west-monster-lyrics
http://www.directlyrics.com/kanye-west-monster-lyrics.html

http://www.lyricstatus.com/beyonce-knowles-run-the-world-girls-lyrics
http://www.directlyrics.com/beyonce-girl-lyrics.html

Lyrics that exist on our website that don't appear on the existing whitelisted lyrics websites:
http://www.lyricstatus.com/dizzee-rascal-off-2-work-lyrics
http://www.lyricstatus.com/nero-promises-lyrics
http://www.lyricstatus.com/j2k-get-down-lyrics

I believe whitelisting LyricStatus would add value to the data on MusicBrainz, and I believe this change should have minimal impact on web development and admin resources.

Should you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact me on my email address or via LyricStatus.com's contact form

Many thanks for your time

Ed Gain
