Free is not free :-) What about where downloads are tied to conditions, like registering an email address or something? Does that qualify as free enough?

Does it have to be a link to a web page in any case? Or are direkt links to like mp3 files also allowed? --Shepard

Shepard, it's my understanding that direct links to MP3s are frowned on unless they have a Creative Commons license--in which case you should use a Creative-Commons-licensed-download link instead of this type. --LarryGilbert
Can we get the preferred level of URL included in the guideline? Like if an artist has a download page that includes subpages for each album, then each song, then direct links to each file, which of those levels should we link to? Torc 22:13, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Web sites with possibility of (unlimited) listening to the artist or album or track

Could I use this (or other) link type for sites named above? --pabouk

There's a Stream AR available. Torc 22:13, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Deleted links

Should we keep links that have been deleted for historical record (especially for non-album tracks), or is there some process for deprecating them? Torc 22:13, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
