Extending the whitelist

What about adding http://wikisource.org/ to the whitelist? The copyrights should be OK for all the content there: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:Copyright_policy --Pabouk 01:36, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Any additions require style approval. Check Proposals for info. BrianFreud 04:12, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

I suggest utamapうたまっぷ) be added (example of lyrics : VALON-1).

LyricWiki’s sub pages

I think we should limit links to the top page for each song and mention that thing in the whitelist and in the LyricWiki AR creation page contextual help. Any opinion ? Sub pages include translations, gracenote versions, etc. (examples of lyrics with sub pages : 窮奇, I’ll be there)

I don't see the point in linking to subpages, they're clearly linked from the main article and since they're not allowed to provide lyrics via the API, people have to visit the page anyway. --Nikki 16:39, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
It’s what I mean. We should say this in the link edit page additionally to the current « Use this relationship to link to lyrics hosted by lyrics.wikia.com or directlyrics.com ONLY! » or the the linked [Has Lyrics At Relationship Type] page (or the white list page, but it would begin to be hidden too deep IMO). I don’t really know what is the API but is the Gracenote version also excluded from it ? — Jesus2099 07:46, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
Feel free to make a proposal to limit it to the main pages then. :P Regarding the API, it's because of Gracenote that they're not allowed to include the full lyrics (see "When using your API to display lyrics I only get small parts of them, can you fix that?" on http://lyrics.wikia.com/Help:FAQ) --Nikki 19:31, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
About proposals, I think there is more important stuff (mistake cleaning) if I have the courage to subscribe that ML again. — Now what I meant by Gracenote version was « Is Gracenote page (when available) preferred over Simple page, or the opposite ? »

Oh, right, I misunderstood what you were asking. I would use the non-Gracenote version, for consistency with the ones which have no Gracenote version and because... well... MusicBrainz and Gracenote aren't exactly friends. --Nikki 23:47, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
