About Me

I discovered MusicBrainz sometime in 2004, using it read-onlywhen an album wasn't in CDDB. In 2005 I finally signed up for an account to correct errors in a Metallica bootleg. Since then, MB has become an addiction of sorts. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to devote to this effort as I would like.

Up until February, 2008 (when I came to Finland and got married), I hailed from Detroit, Michigan, USA. I've been an Auto-Editor since May 2008. I'm anal about having the tags just right. I like a multitude of artists, but I mainly deal with

• metal (thrash, death, black, prog, avant-garde)
• Rock (progressive, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, some 2000s
• classical
• lounge (à la Richard Cheese, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra)
• old skool pop, à la the above mentioned lounge vocalists and Nat "King" Cole, etc. In general, I am not a fan of the modern 'pop' artists.
• jazz / swing / big band
• some old skool rap (Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys)

Current Projects

• Trying to clean up Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention's bodies of work
• Adding A/Rs and entering missing discs for the Series/Mozart_Complete_Philips The progress can be tracked.
• Djangology 1992 box set (Finished 1-3)
• Essential Sibelius
