JVC Jazz reprints

Overview

JVC do have "collections" to group its jazz reissues. The list is available here.

These reprints are leased directly from the Concord Music Group (earlier from Fantasy), and concern the Prestige, Riverside, Pablo, Jazzland, Moodsville, Swingville, Debut, Contemporary, Original Jazz Classics, Fantasy, Concord Jazz catalogs, plus a few odd ducks (JVC, a few Hudson).

These reprints fully reproduce the original artwork and sleeves, and prominently feature the original imprint, JVC here being nothing more than a manufacturer and distributor. Hence, for now, it has been decided to use the prominently featured imprint as the label.

If you don't work on these reprints, or if you don't read japanese enough to help translating information, you can probably just ignore this page, which is just my working notes.

Technical notes

K2HD is a high definition technology remastered CDs. Here is the list of all remasters.

XRCD means extended resolution CD.

Remastered 24bits. Seen both xrcd^24^ 24 bit refined digital [XRCD-24 bit Refined Digital by JVC (ja)] and xrcd^24^ 24 bit super analog [XRCD-24 bit Super Analog (ja)].

There are classic xrcd^24^ and jazz xrcd^24^ releases for the moment. The release listings don't seem to mention wether it's a xrcd^24^ 24 bit refined digital or a xrcd^24^ 24 bit super analog
