This is a list of artists and sites that either have rules forbidding the uploading of images elsewhere or have directly asked us not to host their images. It is important that we honor their wishes in order to avoid legal action and/or the potential full-on shutdown of the Cover Art Archive.

- AlbumArtExchange - Has rules prohibiting its content from being hosted elsewhere.
- Wikipedia - Has rules restricting cover art uploads (as well as all other non-CC images) to 300x300 resolution. Only acceptable if the cover art cannot be found elsewhere.
