General thoughts

  • Release titles: YYYY-MM-DD: Title[: Location]
    • Location syntax: [Venue, ]City, [State, ]Country
    • Same as live bootleg style, since it's the only other dated style system
    • Location only required for those shows recorded with a live audience, such as "Wait Wait"
  • A bot could be programmed to enter most shows (and calculate fingerprints!) with high accuracy from RSS feeds
  • For NPR shows, link to the transcript or article that goes with the audio; these URLs are less likely to break than direct MP3 links
  • Would be good to have a new "transcript" URL relationship to go along with this, but for NPR the download link is usually also the transcript/full article link
