I am french and so I speak french (Français native *). I was born in Bretagne in 1977 and I'm now living in Paris.

My passions, that can be related to MusicBrainz, are music, unicode and the study of vietnamese (Tiếng Việt some *) and japanese (日本語 some *).

My MusicBrainz special tags

have, j2fix, singing order, no singing order

There is mo's fixme tag which is a great idea when you need help on a release.

Release subscriptions

These are some discs I own and that exist here in MB. I input much information in those releases and I'm watching out for edits that could reduce their quality. This list is here until some release subscription exist (1539). At that time I won't have to regularly go through those links anymore.

Well, I try using tags instead now: have

I really do have to tidy this big mess of a page up - BIG MÉNAGE status: 52%

I'll filter out the few useful and productive bits as soon as I have a little time to do so, sorry.

You can ignore everything below this line. I let these because I use them sometimes but I would like to do some sorting to delete what became useless and space wasting.

Mémo +

FauxFaux's great reports. But I think they maybe now in the new edits suggestions…

Capitalisation

Would be nice like this:

Keep it simple (KISS).

CapitalizationStandardFrench

  • Use lowercase for every character except
    • First letter of the title is in UPPERCASE
    • First letter of proper nouns is in UPPERCASE

CapitalizationStandardJapanese

Same as CapitalizationStandardFrench or even simpler :) :

  • Use lowercase for every character except
    • カタカナ is in UPPERCASE

Edits of note

  • There is only one thing that is not wanted, and it is approximative editing, try-and-guess label creation, and random assumptions about label status, name and existence. Such editing behavior will always meet resistance (at least) from me, and is very likely to generate no votes and comments. Anything else will get happy yes votes. Pretending you're meeting undue resistance to try hide the fact your edits are less than accurate is IMHO just lame and clearly disrespectful. Please note that your last sentence ("Now avoid creating any, just use random existing similar label name instead") will grant you additional no votes as well, and will badly hurt your credibility as an editor: if this is your new leitmotiv (and this sounds like something I already heard from you), fair enough - but don't expect sympathy. As you mentioned in one of the edit notes, it's bad for you that MusicBrainz is actually causing you troubles in your professional life. That doesn't mean your fellow editors have to suffer your bad mood. Now, you have the choice to be a good editor (and you'll receive all the help and support that can be). You also have the choice to be a pain and a sloppy editor (and no acid notes like this one will help in hiding that). Take your pick. I sincerely hope it will be the first choice. -- dmppanda 08:41, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

This can be removed as the singles' titles don't contain this and the tracklists make the distinction anyway. These are not multi-disc sets 9048337 9048338
