Overview

A MusicBrainz Recording is an abstract grouping of release tracks, and represents the audio in those tracks before it was mastered.


It is usually the case that a recording is equivalent to a mix of a performance of a work by a particular artist, and appears as a track on releases in one or more release groups.

Properties

Title

The title of the recording.

Artist

The artist(s) that the recording is primarily credited to.

Duration

An approximation to the length of the actual mix, calculated from the lengths of the tracks using the recording.

ISRC

The International Standard Recording Code assigned to the recording.
