Proposal

A MusicBrainz recording represents audio before it was mastered to create at least one released track. In other words, a recording corresponds to a step in the audio production process before any final mastering but after any editing or mixing. In MusicBrainz, each track on each release features a particular recording. Several tracks may feature the same recording, in which case the recording groups similar tracks.

Properties

Title

The title of the recording.

Artist

The artist(s) that the recording is primarily credited to.

Duration

An approximation to the length of the recording, calculated from the lengths of the tracks using it.

ISRC

The International Standard Recording Code assigned to the recording.
