==Title==
The title of a recording should be the most commonly used title for official tracks (tracks from official albums) featuring that recording. If there are no official tracks, just use the most common title from all the tracks featuring the recording. For a standalone recording, use the title given by the source.

===Extra Title Information===
If the chosen track title contains [[Style/Titles/Extra_title_information|extra title information]] then it should be kept with the recording, either as part of the title or as a disambiguation comment.

If the ETI uniquely identifies the recording, leave it in the title. If it just describes something about the recording then move it to the disambiguation. For example, the name of a particular remix does uniquely identify the recording, so it should be included in the title. Words such as "live", "original" and "acoustic" do not ''uniquely identify'', they ''describe'', so they should be part of the disambiguation.

===Examples===
*The majority of the official tracks using [[recording:9aa77fa3-1a7d-4ff9-a5ce-8c3dc072fa52|…Baby One More Time]] are called "…Baby One More Time", so the recording title should be …Baby One More Time and not "Baby One More Time" or "…Baby One More Time (radio version)".
*[[recording:d0a7f90b-9d4f-4737-80ff-1f87704999f4|Mailman, Bring Me More Blues]] is actually the song "Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues", but because the only track using it is on a Bootleg release, that track title should be used as the recording title.
