#REDIRECT Style/Recording#Title
To replace http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Style/Recording#Title:
The title of a recording should be the most commonly used title for official tracks (tracks from official albums) featuring that recording. If there are no official tracks, just use the most common title from all the tracks featuring the recording. For a standalone recording, use the title given by the source.
See the title guidelines for general information about titles.
Extra Title Information
If the chosen track title contains extra title information then it should be kept with the recording, either as part of the title or as a disambiguation comment.
If the ETI phrase is best preceded by a definite article, include it in the title. If an indefinite article is most appropriate with the phrase, include it in the disambiguation. For example, for a particular song, the Calvin Harris remix (definite article) is likely to be more appropriate than a Calvin Harris remix (indefinite article), so this would be included in the title. For a particular song labelled as "acoustic version", it's more likely that other acoustic versions exist for that song, so "an" is probably most appropriate, which is an indefinite article. So "acoustic version" should be moved to the disambiguation.
When dealing with live performance information, both indefinite and definite articles are equally appropriate, so instead of trying following the general rule, put it in the disambiguation, as specified by |this guideline.
*The majority of the official tracks using …Baby One More Time are called "…Baby One More Time", so the recording title should be …Baby One More Time and not "Baby One More Time" or "…Baby One More Time (radio version)".
*Mailman, Bring Me More Blues is actually the song "Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues", but because the only track using it is on a Bootleg release, that track title should be used as the recording title.
