Description

This indicates that a recording is a compilation of several other recordings or that a release group is a compilation of several other release groups. For recordings, this applies to one long recording that contains multiple songs, one after the other, in which the audio material of the original recordings has not been altered. Each source recording is related to the compilation recording individually. For release groups, this represents a compilation of releases not tracks and applies to releases which bundle several previous releases together (e.g. box sets or "2 in 1" releases).
