A MB moderator from Finland, Riihimäki. I was born 1972, I have a passion for heavy music, but all kinds of music is on my plate.
I used to sing/growl in a band called Abhorrence. I've written about music for abour 15 years now, first to a now defunct Suomi Finland Perkele metal magazine, later to several other magazines as a freelancer and now am working for Imperiumi.net doing reviews, interviews and what-not. Imperiumi.net is the largest metal music media in Finland.
I work for Meteli.net, which is a finnish music event/gig/band portal for related information. Much like MusicBrainz, but where gigs are the main attraction.
I mostly concentrate on metal, especially to heavier side of it, such as Doom metal (in all of its sub-genres) and Stonerrock, but also listen to all kinds of music (with the exception of euro techno and similar "zero talent & no content" dance music).
Currently working with in MB
- Slowly adding the more obscure and older band info and releases
- Adding new releases as I get them
- Keeping an eye on the bands that I've done work in (at the moment of writing my subscriptions list is 176 artists long)
To do when I have time
- Going through my records collection (1400+ CDs, never mind the vinyl/MD/MC) and adding their TOC's and information
- Adding PUIDs to songs/albums that I've got ripped
- I'm also going to look into MusicIP and add AudioFingerprints to their libraries (see HowPUIDsWork for more info).
