This relationship type belongs to the Musical Association Relationship Class.
Description
This indicates that an artist is, or was, the concertmaster for an artist. The concertmaster or concertmistress is normally the leader of the first violin section of an orchestra.
The titles typically used to describe this position are:
- Concertmaster
- First Chair
- Leader

“start date”
- There is no guideline yet for how the begin date fields might be used.
“end date”
- There is no guideline yet for how the end date fields might be used.
“assistant”
- This title indicates a less experienced, or first-time conductor, who works under the direction of a more experienced conductor.

- This title indicates a less experienced conductor who works under the direction of the principal conductor.

- This indicates that the group had multiple conductors who were led by this conductor. This may be indicated by either the title of "principal conductor" or "first conductor".

Guidelines
- A concertmaster or concertmistress must be a person artist.
- The target artist must be a group artist.

A group should only ever have one concertmaster or concertmistress at the same time. - A concertmaster or concertmistress is always also a member of the group.
