Dies ist die Richtlinie für Titel oder Teile von Titeln in deutscher Sprache. Es kann nicht angenommen werden, dass Teile hiervon für andere Sprachen ihre Richtigkeit haben.
This is the guideline for titles or parts of titles in German. Do not assume that anything expressed here is valid for other languages.

Katalogverzeichnisse und Nummerierung
Katalogverzeichnisnummerierungen sollte immer ein Komma mit Leerzeichen vorangestellt werden.
Die Opusnummerierung sollte immer in kleingeschriebener, gekürzter Form verwendet werden: "op." Zwischen Opus und Zahl sollte immer ein Leerzeichen stehen.
Nummerierungen (abseits der Opusnummer) sollten mit "Nr." abgekürzt werden mit einem Leerzeichen vor der Zahl.
Spezielle Werkverzeichnisse sollten ihrer üblichen Schreibweise folgen.
Tonart
Die Tonart sollte immer ohne der Präposition "in" angegeben werden.
Dur/Moll
Dur Tonarten sollten stets mit einem großen, Moll Tonarten mit einem kleinen Anfangsbuchstaben gekennzeichnet werden. Dur und Moll selbst sollten immer groß geschrieben werden.
Groß- und Kleinschreibung
Das erste Wort sollte groß geschrieben werden. Für den Rest gilt die übliche Groß- und Kleinschreibung.
Sinfonie/Symphonie
Die Schreibweise Sinfonie sollte Symphonie vorgezogen werden.

Catalogue and numbering
Catalogue numbering should be preceded by a comma and a space.
Opus numbering should be lowercase and abbreviated "op." with a following space.
General numbering should be abbreviated with "Nr." (also followed by a space).
Specific catalogues (e.g. Köchel) should follow their usual capitalization.
Keys
The key should not be preceded by the preposition "in".
major/minor
"Dur" (major) should be preceded with a capitalized Key while "Moll" (minor) should be preceded with a lowercase key. Key and "Dur/Moll" (major/minor) should be joined with a hyphen. "Dur" and "Moll" itself should always start with a capital letter.
