Jazz Discography Project covers mostly bebop and post-bop, 1940s through 1970s

The Jazz Discography by Tom Lord requires a paid subscription (or can be purchased in CD-ROM format). Includes session and sidemen data from 1897 to the present, including single, LP, and CD releases.

Jazz and Ragtime Records, 1897-1942 by Brian Rust is available in a "free personal-use edition" as a PDF download. Primarily covers 78 releases.

Individual artist discographies:

Ellingtonia has an extensive discography of Duke Ellington and is actively maintained.

All of Me, The Complete Discography of Louis Armstrong (2006) can be checked out by the hour from the Internet Archive. It can also be found in print form.

Art Tatum, a guide to his recorded music (1982) can be checked out by the hour from the Internet Archive.

Brilliant Corners by Chris Sheridan is a discography of Thelonious Monk. Only available in print form as far as I know.

BG on the Record by D. Russell Connor and Warren W. Hicks is a bio-discgraphy of Benny Goodman. Can be checked out from the Internet Archive. Includes LP releases up to 1969.

Fats Waller on the Air by Stephen Taylor (2006) is the most recent Fats Waller discography, drawing on previous works like "Fats" in Fact by Laurie Wright. Taylor continued to update his "Fats Waller Ultimate Discography" after publication, and made it available in PDF format to purchasers of the book.
