The whole purpose of Folksonomy tagging is that there is no standard. However, there are benefits to using the same tags as others. This page will list out many commonly used non-genre tags and explain them. That said, feel free to come up with your own tags or even ignore this list.
Moods
There's likely far too many mood tags to list here, and there are plans on codifying these similar to Genres.
Song types
- list song (see Wikipedia)
- villain song
- i want song (see Wikipedia)
- dance song (see Wikipedia)
Tags relating to names and titles
- file/path for titles that look like file paths
- long title and overly long title
- misleading title
- self-titled and x by x on x
- word salad name
- silly name is based on sillyname, but for human-readable names
- sillyname is mostly used for Unicode silliness
- awesome name
Tags relating to cover art
- fake worn cover art for cover art (especially digital releases) with pseudo-worn cover art, often emulating physical media, like vinyl or cassettes.
- cover art recursion for cover art that appears within itself. The original intent is not for cover arts which feature recursion, just for cases where the cover art appears on the cover in full, like Swing to the Right by Utopia.
- covers that go hard is based on a meme format. Read more at Know Your Meme

The * on cover tag line is for tagging things which appear on the cover of an album or perhaps also event posters. There's over 400 of these tags, but partial list of some examples includes:

Can possibly be used in other cases, but these are used to denote a character that appears on the cover art of a release. I believe this standard comes from the Touhou community.

X as Y tags
These are mostly used by editors to note oddities in the database scheme, like for series or labels entered as artists (series title as artist and label as artist respectively) or for atypical types of entities, like software as artist.
