Miles Davis In Person

There is a total of 6 CDs named "In Person". Two original recordings ("Friday" and "Saturday") and a 4-Volume remaster ("Complete").

I had to gather quite some information to find out which cd is which. I put it into the wiki so that this information will not be lost.

The Two Original Albums

MusicBrainz Albums

  2. Saturday Night: http://www.musicbrainz.org/album/9680c0ae-6a70-44d7-969b-de8026f07542.html

Track Listing

  • In Person: Saturday Night at the Blackhawk (see AMG at http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=A5c63tr8lkl4x for more information).
    1. Well, You Needn't (Monk) - 8:16
    2. Fran-Dance (Davis) - 7:40
    3. So What (Davis) - 12:43
    4. Oleo (Rollins) - 5:18
    5. If I Were a Bell (Loesser) - 11:10
    6. Neo (Davis) - 12:39

The Four Remastered Albums (The "Complete" Set)

These are four Albums. They seem to be avaliable as two times two or as a 4-CD box set. This makes Identifying them a bit difficult. I chose to see them as one set "In Person: Friday and Saturday Nights at the Blackhawk, Complete" (disc 1) to (disc 4).

Discussion

What about moving this page somewhere under Jazz? Possibly under a special subcategory, like Jazz/Releases or anything better? There may be quite a few other pages like this one needed for similar cases -- dmppanda
