This guideline applies both to Bokmål and Nynorsk. If you are unsure which language is used on a release, but you are certain that it is one of the two Norwegian languages, then use instead the "Norwegian" language option.

På norsk

Første bokstav og egennavn skrives med stor bokstav. Men: I egennavn som består av flere ledd skrives normalt bare den første bokstaven stort. Se rettskivningsregler (nederst).

In English

Main rule: Only the first word and proper names (Edvard Grieg, Bergen, Norway etc.) should be capitalized.
