I'm an AutoModerator and a regular poster to the MailingList. My MusicBrainz username is ZeroGravitas.
I'm currently working on the WikiMigrationBot.
I'm a C++ programmer, and I've been meaning learn a bit more perl and SQL so I can have a go at some MusicBrainzDevelopment.
When I've got a working dev server my first project will probably be some sort of EditFieldDiff change highlighting (RFE 985861) for the EditArtistName, EditTrackName, EditAlbumName, EditArtistAlias etc. EditTypes.
- String::ShowDiff could be useful?
This would logically develop to include a MergeAlbumDiffTool (RFE 870558).
I'll add this to CurrentWork when I've actually started working on it!
Keeping an eye on

Thoughts / Notes for Future Improvements
- Subscribe to edit - ie click box to receive an email when this mod is approved
- Subscription applies to VA album edits (album renamed, remove, merge etc)
- Moderation Display:
- Group Batch edits together - (vote for all together?)
- Change Track Artist - display track name!!
- Remove TRM - display track name!! & link to TRM page (as well as track page)
- Group Track<->Artist swaps together
- Add Edit All to VA albums
- Show same info on Add/Remove DiscID?
- Warn about outstanding edits to releases?
- Account Activity graph on profile page? (to estimate experience of user)
- Import album checks - check if same FreeDB id has been imported already?

MusicBrainz Guidelines
We are currently gathering a lot of guidelines in the wiki. The status of this is quite transitory, and it starts to get a little messy. So I created this page to list them all in the hope that it will become the main index for guidelines in the future. --DonRedman
See also MusicBrainzDocumentation, MusicBrainzTerminology and RestructuringTheDocumentation for documentation that we might want to link to on guideline pages.
Old and New Lists / Indices
- This is a good general index of all pages and indices that deal with StyleGuidelines. Most of the pages still link to the plural form and need to be corrected.
- This is a very good index of guideline links. It is not complete yet, but is currently the best list of guidelines available.
- This links to single guideline pages but most of the links in the wiki still refer to the old plural EditingGuidelines (see the backlinks)
- An Index of localized capitalization standards, finished and ok.
- Lists StyleGuidelines that have been proposed but are not official yet. The page itself is somewhat messy, bing half in the good new format (link to a new page for each new guideline) and of the old bad format (discuss everything on one page until is gets so huge that nobody finds his way through anymore).
- While this is formatted the old way (with all guidelines in one page) it makes sense to me to leave it that way. Strictly speaking the correct name would be ClassicalStyleGuideline.
