MusicBrainz has a sandbox server, called rika and accessible from subdomains of mbsandbox.org, where MusicBrainz contributors can request an account to show off their work and allow others to test it as part of the code review process.
Sandboxes (potentially) running (these could be running just about anything, though!):
- http://i18n.mbsandbox.org for testing of translations; play with your browser's settings to change languages
- http://ianmcorvidae.mbsandbox.org (User:Ianmcorvidae, editor:ianmcorvidae)
- http://nikki.mbsandbox.org (User:Nikki, editor:nikki)
- http://reosarevok.mbsandbox.org (User:Reosarevok, editor:reosarevok)
- http://navap.mbsandbox.org (User:PavanChander, editor:navap)
- http://murdos.mbsandbox.org (User:murdos, editor:murdos)
- http://warp.mbsandbox.org (User:Kuno, editor:kuno, currently running MBS-211 proof-of-concept branch)
To get a sandbox of your very own, you should contact ianmcorvidae one of these ways:
- via email at ianmcorvidae (at) musicbrainz (dot) org
- via the MusicBrainz website, editor ianmcorvidae
- via IRC, ianmcorvidae on FreeNode (come say hi in #musicbrainz or #musicbrainz-devel, while you're at it!)
